Jaipur: Has there been a compromise between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot? Now senior leader Jairam Ramesh has given this answer.
 
Rajasthan Congress Crisis: The Congress high command has been trying its best to end the Congress crisis in Rajasthan. The party claims that there has been reconciliation between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot.

In fact, after the recent marathon meeting of party president Mallikarjun Kharge and former president Rahul Gandhi, it was said that an agreement had been reached to fight the upcoming assembly elections unitedly.

Party's organization general secretary KC Venugopal had also said that Gehlot and Pilot had agreed to the party's proposal. However, he did not give any details about this. 

 

No change in Pilot's stance?

 

But only a day later, Pilot on May 30 refused to back down from his other demands, including action against alleged corruption in the BJP government, saying that there was no possibility of compromise on the issues he had raised.

Sachin Pilot, who reached Tonk in Rajasthan, said that it is not possible to compromise on the matter of getting justice to the youth. He said he cannot accept corruption at any cost. He said Congress has always encouraged the youth and gave them a chance to come forward in politics and other fields. Now it is not possible to compromise on corruption and the future of the youth. On the other hand, on his meeting with Gehlot, he said, 'The party is aware of the demands I made in Delhi. There should be an effective action on them.

But now party general secretary Jairam Ramesh has said the party is paramount and the entire party will fight unitedly in the upcoming assembly elections.

Jairam Ramesh further said, "There was a marathon meeting on May 29. All issues were discussed. The party is paramount. We will fight the elections unitedly and win."

On May 29, Gehlot and Pilot arrived at different times for the nearly four-hour meeting held at 10 Rajaji Marg, Kharge's residence. Gehlot came to Kharge's residence around 6 pm and Pilot reached there about two hours after him. After this, both the leaders also appeared together in front of the media. In this meeting, an attempt was made to resolve the ongoing disputes between the two.

 

Pilot’s video triggers speculations

 

As the party leadership is now trying to show that everything is fine in Rajasthan Congress, a tweet by Sachin Pilot has again triggered speculations in the political circles.

 

While Ramesh gave assurance that the issue had been resolved, Pilot has now posted a video story on his Twitter handle, in which he is seen with the people of the state.

 

He captioned the video: "There is hope in my mind, there is a belief in the heart, will build a strong Rajasthan, when people are together."

 

While Pilot is visible in every slide in the video, no other Congress leaders, nor the party's symbol, could be seen in it.
