Rishabh Pant Making Good Progress; Will He Be Fit By World Cup-2023?

Indian star wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been out of competitive cricket since December last year. He sustained injuries in a car accident near his hometown in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. Pant suffered two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, and several other injuries.

However, the medical staff of BCCI is currently busy in getting Rishabh Pant fit as soon as possible. It is being told that the board has a target to make Pant fully fit before the World Cup-2023 to be held in October-November.

The board has also appointed two physios for the fast recovery of Pant, who is rehabbing at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. The team of physio and medical staff at the center is constantly monitoring Pant's fitness.

In a recent update, Pant shared a video on social media platforms showcasing his progress in the road to recovery. The video depicted him climbing stairs without any support, displaying his improvement as he confidently ascended the stairs.

Pant is also taking the help of aqua therapy at the rehab center to get himself fit quickly. He is also doing a little bit of swimming and playing table tennis.

Board officials and medical staff are surprised by Pant's fast recovery. A day ago, Rishabh had posted a video on his social media account, in which he was seen climbing stairs without any support.

Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul are also undergoing rehab

Indian cricket fans are also happy to see this video and want to see Pant return to the field as soon as possible. Apart from Pant, fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul are undergoing rehab at NCA Bengaluru.

Both Iyer and Rahul can return to the ground withthe Asia Cup. Both had undergone back surgery a few months ago. Due to which both had to leave IPL and WTC finals. Bumrah was injured in the last match of Asia Cup 2022 and Iyer in Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Rishabh Pant's last on-field display was in the second Test against Bangladesh in December 2022, where he scored a fine knock of 93 in the first innings.  Staying away from the field has been a big disappointment for Pant, though he is keeping himself busy and positive.

Pant’s absence was noticeable in WTC final match

Pant’s absence was noticeable in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 final, where India suffered a 209-run defeat against Australia. He has been a crucial player for Team India, particularly in the red-ball format. His performances, including the memorable Test series win in Australia in 2021, have established him as an integral part of the team.

Pant and Iyer are recovering fast, may soon return to field

A source associated with NCA told that Pant and Iyer are recovering fast, I didn't expect such a fast recovery from these two batsmen, especially Pant. Looking at them, it seems that both of them will soon return to the field. As far as the World Cup is concerned, we should move forward with positive thinking.
