World Test Championship 2023 Final: Team India Captain Rohit Sharma Suffers Injury To Thumb



The final match of the World Test Championship is to be played between India and Australia from tomorrow. The match is to be held at The Oval ground in London. But before that a big news is coming which can disappoint the Indian fans. According to reports, captain Rohit Sharma got injured a day before the final match. Rohit got this injury during throwdown practice. The right-handed batter suffered a blow to his left thumb during an optional net session on the eve of the WTC final.


Team India has not given update


Rohit Sharma has suffered an injury to his left hand thumb during throwdowns on Tuesday. After the injury, Rohit Sharma immediately went out of the nets, after which the team physio treated him and applied bandage on the injury. 


Rohit tried to return to the nets after some time but as a precaution, the team's physio asked him not to do so. Although the good thing is that the injury is not very serious, but no official update has come from the Indian team on this.


Rohit was also injured in the World Cup


Rohit Sharma had earlier been injured two days before the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. Even at that time, the ball hit his wrist at a speed of 150 km. Although Rohit's injury was not serious, after which he played the semi-final, but the Indian team lost this semi-final by 10 wickets.
