Bhopal: Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Bhopal again on Wednesday to take stock of the election preparations in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections-2023. The meeting which started at 8.30 pm went on till past midnight. Many important decisions were taken in the meeting.
Sankalp Yatras from 4 places
The roadmap for Vijay Sankalp Yatra was also finalised. This Yatra will start from four places in the state from September. The yatra will be taken out from Ujjain, Gwalior, Chitrakoot and Jabalpur. They will be flagged off in the presence of senior party leaders.
According to sources, information was also given in the meeting about the announcements made by the Congress regarding electricity to the farmers. It was informed that farmers are being given subsidy on electricity bills through various schemes by the state government. Shah asked party leaders to surround the Congress by telling farmers about this.
Achieve 51 per cent vote share
In the meeting, Shah asked the leaders to coordinate and prepare for the polls with full force and work at the booth level to achieve 51 per cent vote share. Responsibility will be assigned to senior leaders at the district level to coordinate among the workers and to convince the angry workers.
Election committee will be constitute
A 16-member election committee will be constituted. All the senior leaders of the state will be involved in this.
The feedback of zone-wise assembly constituencies was also discussed. Along with this, information about the implementation of the subjects which were decided in the previous meeting was also received.
According to sources, the progress of the goals given by Amit Shah in the previous meeting was reviewed in the meeting of the core group. During this, it was told that the names of various committee in-charges and its members related to the election have been discussed.
Convenor of MP Election Management Committee Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Election in-charge Bhupendra Yadav, Union Minister Prahlad Patel, National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and others were present in the meeting.
After the meeting, Shah reached Hotel Taj for the night rest. He was accompanied by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and State President Vishnudutt Sharma. Shah will return to Delhi this morning.
