Bhopal: Bhopal received heavy rainfall on Thursday early morning. In Narmadapuram rainfall occurred intermittently since 4 am. Low-lying areas were flooded with more than 5 cm of rainfall in 4 hours. Roads were submerged.
In Bhopal sultry and humid weather prevailed after early morning showers. The humid weather made people sweat.
Heavy rain is expected in 28 districts. Light rain may occur in Jabalpur, Gwalior, Indore and other districts.
These 28 dists may receive heavy rain
In the next 24 hours till Friday morning, heavy rains are likely in 28 districts of the state including capital Bhopal. Other districts that may witness heavy rainfall include Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Sheopur, Dindori, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat and Sagar.
Besides, light rainfall is expected in Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Indore, Ratlam, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Satna, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Katni, Jabalpur, Panna, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari.
Overall, Madhya Pradesh has received 8% more rainfall since June 1. The western part of the state has received more than 18% rainfall, but the eastern part has received 4% less rainfall than normal. Seoni has received the maximum rainfall of about 68 cm. At the same time, the lowest rainfall of 20 cm has been recorded in Satna.
