Raipur: Assembly elections are to be held in Chhattisgarh at the end of the year. Chhattisgarh Congress has made another major change after making Singhdeo the Deputy CM. The command of the State Congress President was handed over to Deepak Baij.

Second major reshuffle in Cong before polls

First there was a change in power. Under which Health Minister TS Singhdeo was made deputy CM in Bhupesh government. After this, a major change was made in the state Congress organization during the meeting of the Congress Legislature Party on Wednesday.

Cong high command took a big decision

The Congress high command has made MP Deepak Baij the president of the Chhattisgarh Congress. Earlier, Mohan Markam was holding the responsibility of PCC chief. Deepak Baij is considered a big tribal face. Before the assembly elections, Congress has taken a political step to win support of the tribal class before the elections by making major changes in the state Congress organization.
 

Deepak Baij is MP from Bastar

Deepak Baij is considered a big tribal leader of Bastar. He is also the Vice President of All India Adivasi Congress. Baij was an MLA from Chitrakoot assembly seat from 2013 to 2018. He is currently a Congress MP from Bastar Lok Sabha seat.

Challenges before Baij

Before the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, Baij has got a big responsibility. A few days ago, the Congress High Command held a meeting in Delhi regarding Chhattisgarh. In the meeting, it was emphasized that the leaders of the party should come together. This time the challenge before the Congress is to retain the power. 

 

The BJP in the opposition is constantly besieging the Congress government on various issues. In such a situation, Deepak Baij may have to face many challenges in the coming times. During the elections, the responsibility of ensuring harmony among the leaders of the organization will be on party state president.

CM Bhupesh greets Baij

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has congratulated MP Deepak Baij on being made Chhattisgarh Congress President. CM Baghel tweeted that congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed President of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Deepak Baij for his new responsibility. At the same time, he expressed gratitude to the outgoing State Congress President Mohan Markam for providing successful leadership to the party organization.
