Raipur: Congress has made a big announcement regarding the Chhattisgarh assembly elections. The party's national president Mallikarjun Kharge has constituted the election committee. State Congress President Deepak Baij has been made the chairman of the committee.
Along with this, CM Bhupesh Baghel and Deputy CM TS Singhdeo have also been included. 22 state leaders have got a place in the committee. 9 ministers of Bhupesh government have been included in the committee formed for the assembly elections 2023.
Deepak Baij is the Member of Parliament from Bastar Lok Sabha
seat. After making Deepak Baij the state president, CM Bhupesh Baghel
had also expanded his cabinet. Mohan Markam was inducted into the
cabinet following the resignation of Education Minister Prem Sai Singh
Tekam. At the same time, senior state Congress leader and health
minister TS Singhdeo was made the deputy CM of the state.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Deputy CM TS Singhdeo, Charandas Manhat, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Ravindra Choubey, Mohammad Akbar, Shivkumar Dahariya, Jai Singh Agrawal, Mohan Markam, Guru Rudra Kumar, Dhanendra Sahu, Satyanarayan Sharma, Amitesh Shukla, Vikas Upadhyay, Rajesh Tiwari, Paras Chopra and Anila Bhediya have been included in the committee constituted for the election.
Along with this, the President of State Mahila Morcha, State President of Youth Congress, State President of student organization NSUI and Chief Organizer of Seva Dal have been included in this committee.
Assembly elections are to be held in the state this year. The Congress had recently made changes in its organization regarding the assembly elections. Deepak Baij was made the state president in place of Mohan Markam.
