Madhya Pradesh Assembly Monsoon Session: Opposition Uproar Over Sidhi Incident; Cong MLA Arrives Wearing Garland Of Tomato Chillies; House Adjourned Till July 12


On the first day of the monsoon session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, there was a lot of uproar on Tuesday. The opposition wanted to discuss the Sidhi urine scandal. The proceedings were adjourned for the first 10 minutes. When the session started again, the opposition insisted on discussing the Sidhi incident. The session was adjourned till July 12 due to excessive sloganeering and uproar. This is the last session of the 15th Legislative Assembly.


Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, the opposition has insulted the national anthem. Leader of Opposition Dr. Govind Singh said in response to this, talking fake and false is the character and history of the Bharatiya Janata Party. State Congress President Kamal Nath said, we moved an adjournment motion, but it was not accepted. 


Sidhi MLA Kedarnath Shukla said Brahmin community is not angry with me and the government. The community is definitely expressing dissatisfaction on the action of demolition of the house. We are trying to spread the right message among Brahmins. Pravesh Shukla's father is with the government. He is saying that the whole conspiracy is of Congress. 


Congress did not allow national anthem to be played: Mishra


After the session was adjourned, Narottam Mishra told the media, Congress did not allow the national anthem to be played. Mishrasaid homage was to be paid to departed but Congress was not allowing it to happen. All action has been taken in the Sidhi incident that they are raising. At that time the video of Shivpuri also went viral. Congress is deriving political mileage out of Sidhi incident. In Shivpuri, faeces were stuffed in the mouth of victim, Congress is not speaking on that. They are not talking about Shakeel. This is the appeasement politics of the Congress. 



Kalpana Verma arrives wearing garland of tomatoes 


Earlier, with the commencement of the monsoon session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Tuesday, the opposition launched an attack on government. Congress MLA Kalpana Verma hogged the limelight when she arrived wearing a garland of tomatoes and chillies. She said that the thousand rupees of the Ladli Bahnas are being spent only in buying tomatoes and chillies. The MLA said that it is not hers but the pain of all the women of the state. She will also raise the issue of price rise in the assembly. She protested wearing a garland of chilli-tomato in the assembly premises.

On the arrival of the MLA with a garland of tomato and chilli around his neck, Urban Administration Minister Bhupendra Singh said it is a seasonal thing. The opposition doesn't have any issue, that's why they wore tomato garland. He said that the opposition never talks about development plans. Because they have never developed. Congress has nothing to do with development. Tomato Chilli is not expensive in Madhya Pradesh alone. There is a Congress government in Rajasthan. Is nothing expensive being sold in Rajasthan? He said that all these are seasonal vegetables. Tomato production is affected by rain.
