MP Rains: New Weather System To Become Active In Madhya Pradesh From This Date, May Bring Widespread Rainfall


Bhopal: Currently there is no weather system active in Madhya Pradesh, but on July 4, a new system is going to be active, due to which widespread and copious rains are expected after July 5. There is a forecast of light rainfall on Sunday and Monday, although there may be heavy rain at one or two places. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the capital Bhopal till July 5. There may be a drop in day and night temperatures.

Chances of rain in 4 divisions


According to the MP Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning at some places in Rewa, Satna, Panna districts of Vindhya on Sunday. A cyclonic circulation is also over Uttar Pradesh and a trough is active from Bay of Bengal to Rajasthan. Under its influence, light to moderate rainfall may occur at some places in Gwalior-Chambal division. There is a possibility of rain in the districts of Sagar, Rewa, Jabalpur, Shahdol divisions on Sunday and Monday.

According to the MP Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with winds on July 3. Due to the formation of the new system, the phase of good rains can start again on July 4. Due to this, mercury may also drop. It is estimated that due to the progress of the cyclone formed in the upper part of the air in the Bay of Bengal, a new round of rain may once again start in the state from July 5.

13% more rainfall in June than normal


In June 13% more rainfall has been recorded than normal. Normally in June, there should have been 14 cm of rain whereas MP got average 15.5 cm of rainfall. There are 29 districts of the state including Narsinghpur, Niwari, Morena, Bhind, Jabalpur, Sagar, Seoni, Umaria, Guna, Gwalior, Indore, Neemuch, Vidisha, where till now it has rained more than normal. 

On the other hand, 23 districts including Balaghat, Rewa, Singrauli, Tikamgarh, Agar-Malwa, Ashoknagar, Betul, Dhar, Khandwa, Khargone, Mandsaur, Narmadapuram, Barwani, Ujjain have received less than normal rainfall .
