Star Pacer Jasprit Bumrah To Make Comeback With This Series As Captain

There is good news for cricket lovers and the Team India. Jasprit Bumrah, who has been out of the Indian cricket team for a long time, is making a comeback and he has been elected captain for the Ireland T20 series.

This series will start from August 18 and there will be three matches between the two teams.

Fast bowler Bumrah played the last international match in September last year. He was out of the team due to a back injury. For the last few months, he was busy in achieving fitness.

Star fast-bowler Bumrah, who has been out of action since October 2022 due to a back injury, had undergone surgery in New Zealand on his lower back.

Cricket enthusiasts had been waiting for the return of Jasprit Bumrah, who is famous for turning the match on the basis of his bowling. In the past Bumrah had made several attempts to make a comeback, but his waist, which looked fit every time, had betrayed him at the last moment. Due to this, The BCCI wanted to see him fully fit before the ODI World Cup 2023.

A positive for the Indian side ahead of ODI World Cup

In a positive for the Indian side, especially as the ODI World Cup draws closer, Jasprit Bumrah is ‘totally fit’. The mainstay of the Indian pace attack for quite some time now, Bumrah “is totally fit and he may go to Ireland,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah told the press in New Delhi.

“There will be consistency in selections apart from the Ireland tour,” he added, indicating that apart from Bumrah, none of the World Cup-bound senior players, including T20I captain Hardik Pandya will be selected for the tour.

Earlier in March, the 29-year-old fast bowler underwent surgery for lower back in New Zealand. He was in rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, from where he even shared a video of him bowling at full pelt earlier this month.
