The much-awaited Asia Cup 2023 has kicked off and marking its commencement, the Multan Cricket Stadium witnessed a riveting match between Pakistan and Nepal. This event sets the stage for a series of gripping encounters in the days to come.
In the Group-A match hosts Pakistan easily defeated Nepal in Multan on 30 August. India is also in the same group, the team will play its first match against Pakistan.

But there is a threat of rain on the Asia Cup-2023 match between India and Pakistan. According to weather website Accuweather, it may rain in Kandy from August 31 to September 6.
The group stage match between India and Pakistan will be played on September 2 in Kandy itself. Team India has reached Sri Lanka's Colombo city on 30 September itself.
There is a possibility of rain in both the group stage matches of India. There will be a match between India and Pakistan on 2nd September, on this day there is 90% possibility of rainfall in Kandy city.
90% possibility of rain during India-Nepal match also
On September 4, Team India will play its last match in the group stage against Nepal. There is 90% possibility of rainfall on this day also.
Group B match will be played between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka on 31st August in Kandy city of Sri Lanka. There is a 50% chance of rain in this match. There will be no match on September 1.
The match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan will be played on 3 September. However, this match will be held in Lahore, where there is no possibility of rain.
The Indian team reached Colombo city of Sri Lanka on 30 August to play the Asia Cup. The team will travel from Colombo to Kandy. Both the team's group stage matches will be held in Kandy.
Team India has reached Sri Lanka without KL Rahul
The Indian team has reached Sri Lanka without wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul. Rahul is currently not fully recovered from the injury. He will go to Sri Lanka after the group stage is over.
All the players of the Indian squad including Rahul practiced in Bengaluru from 24 to 28 August before coming to Sri Lanka. Here the team prepared keeping in mind different game plans.
The tournament of 6 teams will run for 19 days. A total of 13 matches will be played. The final of the tournament will be held in Colombo on 17 September.
