Chennai: The Indian hockey team has won the Asian Champions Trophy-2023 title. The team defeated Malaysia 4-3. The Indian team has become the champion for the fourth time in this tournament. With this, India has become the most successful country in this tournament.
India trailed 1-3 at half time
Team India, playing their 5th final at the Radhakrishnan Stadium in Chennai on Saturday, were trailing by 2 goals till half time, when the score line was 3-1. Then in the last two quarters of the match, the Indian players won by scoring three goals.
In the match, Jugraj Singh scored in the 9th minute, Captain Harmanpreet Singh in the 45th minute, Gurjant Singh also scored in the 45th minute and Akashdeep Singh in the 56th minute. Also, Azrai Abu Kamal scored in the 14th minute, Rahim Razi in the 18th minute and Muhammad Aminuddin in the 28th minute for the Malaysian team.

Table-topper India remained unbeaten in the tournament. It played one draw in the group stage. The only draw came against Japan in the group stage. India met Japan in the semi-finals. This time India defeated him 5-0.
