Nuh: Nuh and several other districts of Haryana are seeing violence and communal tension for the last few days that has taken lives of five people and left dozens of others injured. Communal tension is spreading and security forces have been deployed to bring back normalcy.
In the midst of this communal violence and tension, news of love and goodwill is also coming to the fore. A Muslim family opened its doors to a Hindu father-son and a lady police personnel when a communal clash broke out. The attackers were following these victims and they were running for their lives.
The Muslim family saved his life by giving him shelter. The family not only protected them from attackers, but also provided them with food and guarded them by placing a guard outside the house so that no one could come in.
Father-son duo decided to participate in Brij Mandal yatra
Sohna resident property dealer Karan Singh and his younger son Vivek had gone to Pinangwan of Nuh to see a plot. While returning, both father and son decided to participate in Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra. The yatra was going towards the Shiva temple at Nalhar. They both walked in this yatra for a few kilometers. Suddenly there was an attack at some distance.
Were pulled out of their SUV and beaten
Vivek Singh and Karan Singh were pulled out of their SUV and thrashed with sticks. They ran to save their lives. The crowd was running after them. They thought that this might be the last day of their life. Finally they found shelter in a house.
Family assured them that they would be safe
There was a Muslim joint family of 15 people who was living in the house. The residents here assured them that they would be safe inside.
There was a loud knock at door
A few minutes later, there was a loud knock at the door again. This time the cop running away from the stone pelting crowd was a woman. The family also gave her shelter. Took good care of all three of them and also consoled them. Assured them that they would reach home safely.
'They were like angel for us'
Vivek and Karan have refused to reveal the name of that Muslim family. They said that if they reveal the family name, they may face reaction from the Muslim community. The property dealer said, 'After letting us in, they kept guard outside the house so that no one could come in. They were like angel for us.'
Singh, his son Vivek and the lady police stayed in the house for about five hours. Family gave them meal, first aid and took good care of them.
Vivek Singh said when things calmed down somewhat, they gave me and my son T-shirts with Muslim symbols on them. The police woman was given a burqa.
By the time Singh returned to his Fortuner, it was gutted in flames. All the documents left inside and his mobile phone were also burnt. A police team took the father-son duo to their home in Sohna.
