Madhya Pradesh: Digvijaya Singh’s Trouble May Increase; Case Filed For Tweet Over Kundalpur; What BJP Said?

Bhopal: Kotwali police station of Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, has started investigating the case after registering an FIR against former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh in connection with a post made by him on social media regarding the famous Jain pilgrimage site Kundalpur.

According to police sources, a memorandum regarding this matter was submitted to the Superintendent of Police by Hindu organizations. After this, last night the Kotwali police station registered a case against former CM Singh under various sections.

Actually, Singh posted a post on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the Jain pilgrimage site Kundalpur, after which the matter was investigated by the administration, in which it was found that no incident had occurred.

In his tweet tagging CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and DGP Sudhir Saxena at 6:06 am on Sunday, August 27, Digvijay had alleged that anti-social elements of Bajrang Dal had started mischief by keeping Shivji's Pindi in campus of Shri Digambar Jain Siddh Kshetra Kundalpur.

After Digvijay Singh's tweet, there was a stir in the entire Damoh district. The local administration immediately sent the SDM and SDOP to Kundalpur to investigate the matter.

After this, it was told from the official Twitter handle of Damoh SP that the information related to Kundalpur is completely misleading and not based on facts. It is being said that apart from the administrators of Kundalpur Jain temple, Hindu organizations have also denied any such incident. After the allegations of the former CM, Kundalpur Committee and Bajrang Dal jointly held a press conference and said that nothing like this had happened. Some anti-social elements had entered the premises under the influence of alcohol and were chased away from there.

Vishnudutt Sharma said this

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party State President and Lok Sabha MP Vishnudutt Sharma said that Digvijaya Singh is a habitual political criminal and social media platform X is requested to suspend his account.

Sharma told reporters that Singh continuously broadcasts false information through his social media account to spoil the atmosphere of the country and the state. It comes under the category of crime. He is spoiling the atmosphere of the society.

BJP state chief said that the Jain temple in Kundeshwar is the center of faith of every class, about which Singh spread lies. Sometime back he circulated a video related to a mosque in Khargone, while it was from some other place. In this way, he is spoiling religious sentiments, spreading social hatred and serving falsehood in the society.

Sharma requested that the court should also direct in this regard because the Congress does not have any issue, so at the behest of Kamal Nath, Singh will work to spoil the atmosphere in the society by spreading lies.
