Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill gave a solid start

While India's top order had failed in the first match of this tournament, captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave a solid start in this match.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill seemed to be in perfect rhythm. Both of them scored a lot of runs on the balls of Shaheen Afridi. In the first match, Afridi had dismissed three top-order batsmen but on Sunday, Rohit expressed his intention by hitting a six in Afridi's first over.

Despite the promising start, Pakistan made a comeback when leg-spinner Shadab Khan dismissed Indian skipper Rohit Sharma for 56 in the 17th over.

In the very next over, Shaheen Shah Afridi's slower delivery removed Shubman Gill for 58, bringing Pakistan back into the game with India at 123 for 2.

Rohit Sharma is the 30th batsman to score fifty half-centuries in ODIs.

The record for most half-centuries in ODI is in the name of Sachin Tendulkar who has scored 96 half-centuries.
