G20 Summit: Dishes of Millets Will Be Served To Delegates


New Delhi: Preparations have been completed for the two-day G20 Summit to be held in the capital Delhi on 9 and 10 September. On the one hand, strict security arrangements have been made in Delhi and on the other hand, decorations have also been done from the airport to the hotel and then to the Bharat Mandapam. Heads of State of 19 countries, representatives of the European Union and guests from many countries are coming to participate in this summit.


India had spearheaded a United Nations General Assembly resolution for declaring 2023 as the International Year of Millets and the proposal was supported by 72 countries. And now the menu for the G20 summit delegates will have a millet twist. Some of the items include a fruit salad with a millet dressing and a jaggery and ragi kheer. The G20 Summit will be held on September 9 and 10 and several hotels have been booked for hosting the guests.


This time in different hotels of Delhi, dishes of millets will be served to guests on the theme of Millets Year. These will include dishes made of millet and ragi. Apart from this, Street Foods and Foods Fusion will also be served to the guests.



25 luxury hotels booked


25 luxury five star hotels have been booked for the guests in the capital Delhi. At the same time, the theme of the hotels has also been decided separately.



Most expensive hotel for Joe Biden


US President Joe Biden is also coming to India to participate in G20 Summit. He will reach on September 7 and stay in the most expensive suite of ITC Maurya. Its one day tariff is close to Rs 8 lakh. 400 rooms have been booked for Biden’s entire team. His security teams have already reached India.


Rishi Sunak will stay at Shangri-La Eros


UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is also visiting India. He will stay at  Shangri-La Eros. The delegates of Germany will also stay in this hotel. Central forces have been deployed in hotels. President of France Emmanuel Macron will stay at Claridges Hotel, PM of Australia Anthony Albanese at Imperial and representatives of China will stay at Taj Palace


Similarly, representatives of Indonesia will stay at Imperial Hotel, representatives of Mauritius, Netherlands, Nigeria and Spain at Hotel Oberoi, guests of Italy and Singapore at Hotel Hyatt Residency, guests from Canada and Japan will stay at Hotel Lalit, guests from Korea at Hotel Oberoi, guests from Egypt at ITC Sheraton Saket and guests from UAE will stay at Taj Hotel.
