G20 Summit: PM Modi Reached Bharat Mandapam; Guests From All Over World Start Arriving


Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Bharat Mandapam on Saturday morning for G20 Summit. The PM was accompanied by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. After this, guests from all over the world also started arriving here. 



The summit will begin with a photo op. After this, Prime Minister Modi will give a welcome speech.



German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have arrived in India Sunday morning to attend the summit. At the same time, American President Biden, who came to India late last evening, reached Modi's official residence directly from the airport to meet Modi. The talks between the two leaders lasted for about an hour.



During this, both the leaders discussed partnership in defense and space sector. The US President congratulated Modi on the success of Chandrayaan-3. A joint statement was issued after the meeting. Today there will be two photo sessions during the summit. The first immediately after the official inauguration of the summit and in the evening during dinner.



Heads of state of some important countries are not attending this very important summit of G20. These include Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Apart from this, Spain's Sanchez will also not be able to attend this summit. He has been found corona positive.
