Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election-2023: CM Shivraj, VD Sharma May Brainstorm On BJP's Second List With Senior Leaders Today

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP state president VD Sharma will leave for Delhi Monday. In Delhi, the CM and BJP State President will meet senior party leaders. The names of the second list of BJP candidates will be discussed in this meeting. Candidates can be declared on 64 seats BJP has lost in the state.

CM likely to meet Nadda, Shah

CM Shivraj and VD Sharma will stay in Delhi for about five hours. During this time, they can meet BJP National President JP Nadda, BL Santosh, Amit Shah. According to sources, a meeting may be held with some members of the BJP election committee today. In this meeting, the remaining names on the lost seats can be finalized.

For the first time, BJP has declared candidates three months before the assembly elections. BJP had released the first list of candidates for the 39 lost seats on August 17. Candidates were declared on all the lost seats. However, there is strong opposition to the declared candidates of BJP on many of these seats.

BJP's focus on 103 lost seats

Regarding the assembly elections, this time BJP has completely focused on the 103 lost seats. In the last 2018 assembly elections, BJP had lost on 121 seats. But in the by-elections held in 2020 and 2021, BJP candidates won on 18 of these seats. Now BJP is busy in making a strategy for winning back these 103 seats by declaring candidates in advance.

PM's forthcoming visits to state

During the visit of CM Shivraj and VD Sharma to Delhi, there will also be discussion about PM Modi's visit to Madhya Pradesh this month. On September 14, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of investment projects worth Rs 50 thousand crore at Bina Refinery in Sagar district.

On September 18, PM can also attend the unveiling program of the 108 feet tall statue of Adiguru Shankaracharya in Omkareshwar. After this, on September 25, Modi will participate in the workers Mahakumbh to be organized at Jamboree Ground in Bhopal.
