Rajasthan Election 2023: Why Nadda, Amit Shah Expressed Displeasure, Left without meeting Sangh officials


Jaipur: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting, BJP has intensified preparations for the assembly elections. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda and National Organization General Secretary BL Santosh held meetings with prominent leaders of the state in a hotel in Jaipur till late night on Wednesday.


It is being told that Nadda and Shah expressed displeasure over the incidents like lack of crowd gathering at many places during Parivartan Yatras and incidents like rebellion of local leaders at many places due to factionalism. Nadda and Shah have given advice to the leaders on issues like ongoing competition between state level leaders.


Scheduled meeting of Amit Shah and JP Nadda with Sangh officials cancelled


Meanwhile, suddenly today on Thursday the meetings and other programs of both the leaders with the Sangh officials have been cancelled. Both the leaders have left for Delhi.


The scheduled meeting of Amit Shah and JP Nadda with Sangh officials on Thursday was cancelled. In fact, it was reported that senior Sangh campaigner Prakash Chand could be given a bigger responsibility for the upcoming elections. There was a possibility of both the leaders talking to the local Sangh officials regarding this, but the program was cancelled. The reason for this has not been explained.


Earlier, the late Wednesday night meeting was attended by Union minister and the party's election in-charge for Rajasthan Pralhad Joshi, co-in-charge Nitin Patel, BJP's in-charge for Rajasthan Arun Singh, state unit president C P Joshi, Union Ministers Gajendra Singh, Arjun Meghwal, Kailash Chaudhary, leader of opposition in Assembly Rajendra Rathore, deputy leader of opposition Satish Poonia and other leaders were present at the meeting, the sources said.


Will MPs contest elections, Shekhawat tells


On the question of MPs contesting elections, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said after the meeting that this is for the party leadership to decide, it was not discussed in the meeting. Meanwhile, BJP State President CP Joshi said that the upcoming programs of the party were discussed. The Central Election Committee will decide whether the formula about MPs contesting elections is applicable in Rajasthan or not.


He said that no senior leader of the party is being ignored, everyone is moving forward together. BJP's election in-charge Prahlad Joshi said- We have discussed many topics. The basis of selection of candidates has been discussed. The programs have been fixed till the announcement of elections. MPs contesting elections will be considered further.


Leaders brainstormed on ways to win maximum number of seats


Meanwhile, a siurce said the leaders held discussions on the assembly constituencies and brainstormed on ways to win the maximum number of seats in Mewar, Vagad, Shekhawati, Hadauti and Marwar regions and in eastern Rajasthan in the assembly and Lok Sabha elections," a source said.


During the meeting, a clear message was sent out that the party organisation is supreme and all have to work together to ensure the victory of the party in the elections.


Some leaders said that ticket distribution and other poll-related issues were discussed in the meeting.


Shekhawat,Meghwal may be fielded


Sources in the BJP's Rajasthan unit said Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal may be fielded in the assembly polls, along with some other MPs.


However, the party leaders who came out of the hotel refrained from sharing details of the meeting with the media.


Earlier this morning, many leaders of the state reached the hotel and met Nadda and Shah.
