ODI World Cup 2023: Ravindra Jadeja Said this After India's Crucial Triumph Over Australia

Chennai: Ravindra Jadeja celebrated a crucial triumph over Australia during the ODI World Cup 2023 campaign, a result largely credited to the team's surging confidence. India commenced their tournament journey with a resounding six-wicket win in Chennai. Jadeja's exceptional left-arm spin played a pivotal role in restricting Australia to a modest total of 199.

Jadeja expressed his joy after the match. He said there's a great satisfaction in defeating a formidable team, and the boost in confidence is invaluable.

'We are ready to face other strong teams'

Jadeja said after securing a victory against Australia we are ready to face other strong teams in the World Cup and emerge victorious. It will be truly gratifying.

The left-arm spinner said that challenges would arise against other opponents but winning against three or four major teams significantly boosts team's confidence levels.

When asked about the contributions of the spin trio, Jadeja remarked that their primary mission was to snatch wickets on a pitch that offered generous turn. He added, "There's no fixed role, really. It was all about grabbing as many wickets as possible, as quickly as we could."

In India's successful pursuit of the target, Virat Kohli (85) and KL Rahul (97 not out) played pivotal roles by forming an outstanding 165-run partnership.
