World Cup-2023: India's sixth win, thrash England by 100 runs, reach semi-finals

 

India has defeated England by 100 in the World Cup-2023. Batting first, the Indian team scored 229 runs. In reply, the entire England team was bundled out for 129 runs.

With this, India achieved its sixth consecutive victory in the World Cup. Rohit Sharma was adjudged player of the match for his innings of 87 runs.

For India, Mohammed Shami took four wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah took three and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets. Ravindra Jadeja also got one wicket.

The England team, which came to chase the target, started its innings cautiously.

In 4.4 overs, the team scored 30 runs without losing any wicket but in the next two balls, Bumrah pushed England on the back-foot by sending two batsmen back to the pavilion.

Bumrah first bowled David Malan (16 runs) and then on the very next ball he got Joe Root out LBW on zero.

 


England came under pressure after fall of two consecutive wickets

 
England came under pressure due to the fall of two consecutive wickets and could score only three runs in the next three overs. Shami gave the third blow to England by bowling Stokes on the last ball of the eighth over.

Shami also bowled Jonny Bairstow on the first ball of the 10th over. England lost four wickets by the time they scored 39 runs. Joe Root and Ben Stokes could not even open their accounts.

After this, Kuldeep Yadav gave the fifth blow to England by bowling Jos Buttler on the first ball of his second over (in 15.1 overs). Buttler could score only 10 runs.


In the 24th over of the match, Mohammed Shami had Moeen Ali caught behind the wicket. Moeen scored 15 runs off 31 balls.

Ravindra Jadeja stumped Chris Woakes on the first ball of the 29th over. Vox could score only 10 runs.

In the very next over, Kuldeep Yadav gave the eighth blow to England by getting Liam Livingston out LBW.

Livingston played the highest innings of 27 runs for England.

After this, Adil Rashid and David Willey added 24 runs for the 9th wicket but Mohammed Shami broke this partnership Jasprit Bumrah took the last wicket.

With this, England has suffered its fifth defeat in this World Cup and now its path to the semi-finals has become very difficult.
