MP Election-2023: Will BJP Replace Panna Lal Shakya On Guna Assembly Seat? Why Scindia Supporter Leader Lay Before His Helicopter?

MP Election-2023: BJP released its final list on Sunday and announced the names of candidates for Guna and Vidisha seats. But as soon as BJP decided to give ticket to Panna Lal Shakya on Guna assembly seat, BJP faced powerful opposition from a ticket aspirant. 

Jyotiraditya Scindia's supporter Neeraj Nigam was a strong contender for the ticket on Guna Assembly seat. Scindia himself was trying to get him the ticket but when the list came out, BJP gave the ticket to Pannalal Shakya. Whereas BJP has made Mukesh Tandon its candidate from Vidisha.

As Scinida supporter Neeraj Nigam has shown his rebellious attitude, some people are speculating that BJP  will change its candidate on this seat as Scindia himself is likely to raise the issue of the denial of ticket to his supporter with Amit Shah.

Neeraj Nigam’s hopes were dashed and he has now rebelled against BJP. Neeraj Nigam has said that he will submit the nomination form as an independent candidate on Monday. To show his displeasure against this decision of BJP, Neeraj Nigam reached Mungaoli area, where Jyotiraditya Scindia had come to address the meeting of workers.

Will raise the matter with Shah: Scindia

When Scindia's helicopter was landing in Mungaoli area, his supporting leader Neeraj Nigam lay before his helicopter and remained lying till Scindia came out. During this, Neeraj Nigam expressed his displeasure with Scindia. Scindia asked him to be patient and said that Amit Shah is coming to Gwalior on Monday and he will raise this matter with him.

It was decided to give ticket on basis of survey: Neeraj

While talking to media, Neeraj Nigam said that the party had decided to give ticket on the basis of survey, but Pannalal Shakya's name was not in the survey, then how was he given the ticket. It was decided in the party that those whose name figure in the survey will be given ticket. But when the list came, Pannalal Shakya's name was there in the list.

Neeraj Nigam said obviously, when Pannalal Shakya's name was not in the survey, then how did he get the ticket. It is clear from this that there has been discrimination in giving tickets. Therefore, I will now contest the elections as an independent candidate. Pannalal Shakya had been MLA from Guna in 2013 also. Pannalal is considered to have a good influence in the Sangh and the BJP.
