Gwalior: Aam Aadmi Party leader Ruchi Gupta was performing Diwali puja at her fitness center in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh when her husband arrived and fired shots, causing chaos.
On the occasion of Diwali, Aam Aadmi Party's leader Ruchi Gupta was performing Lakshmi puja at her fitness center in the presence of her employees. Suddenly, her husband arrived with a pistol and fired shots. Two employees present at the scene were injured by the gunshots. The incident created a panic, and it took place in the City Center area.
The fitness center, named Revitalize Mantra Fitness Center and Beauty Care, is operated by Ruchi Gupta, the state vice president of the Aam Aadmi Party. On Diwali, Ruchi Gupta was performing Lakshmi puja at her fitness center, attended by her employees.
Ruchi’s husband opened fire after argument
At that moment, Ruchi Gupta's husband, Sandeep Thakur, arrived with a pistol. An argument ensued over something, and after the argument, Sandeep Thakur began firing shots.
Two employees present at the scene were injured by the gunshots. Ruchi Gupta's employees, Nikhil Sharma and Ujjwal Tyagi, suffered injuries. Other employees at the scene attempted to apprehend Sandeep Thakur, but he managed to escape.
Injured rushed to hospital
Information about the incident was immediately reported to the University Police Station. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene, and the injured individuals were admitted to a private hospital for treatment, where their condition is reported to be stable. In this case, an attempt to murder charge has been filed against Sandeep Thakur by the University Police Station's TI Anurag Prakash.
There was a dispute between Ruchi and her husband
Ruchi Gupta stated that there was a dispute between her and her husband over some issue. They had reached the fitness center, and suddenly, he fired shots. She couldn't understand whether the shots were targeted at her or someone else. When an attempt was made to find out the reason for the disagreement between Ruchi Gupta and her husband, she denied revealing the reason.
Ruchi Gupta had contested election for the Mayor of Gwalior
In this case, the University Police Station TI Anurag Prakash stated in a phone conversation that an FIR has been filed against Sandeep Thakur under the attempted murder charge. Ruchi Gupta had contested the election for the Mayor of Gwalior on the ticket of the Aam Aadmi Party. Before this, she was in the Congress Party and had also held the position of the women's district president while being in the Congress Party.
However, just before the municipal elections, she left the Congress Party and joined the Aam Aadmi Party. After that, she contested as the mayoral candidate for the Gwalior Municipal Corporation on the Aam Aadmi Party's ticket but was not successful. Ruchi Gupta, known for her work style, has once again come into the headlines, this time due to her husband.
