Madhya Pradesh: Khajuraho International Film Festival-2023 Will Focus On This Legendary Actress This Time


Khajuraho, renowned for its invaluable artifacts, also holds distinction for hosting a unique International Film Festival featuring movies in talkies made of bamboo sticks. The upcoming 9th edition of the Khajuraho International Film Festival-2023 (KIFF) is set to commence in Khajuraho, a major tourist hub in Madhya Pradesh. The festival will take place at the Bundela Resort from December 16th to December 22nd.


Organized under the banner of Prayas Productions, led by film actor and Bundelkhand Development Board Vice Chairman Raja Bundela, the seven-day extravaganza will pay tribute to the legendary Bollywood actress Sridevi as its central theme and will remain focused on her. 


Sridevi's iconic works will be screened


The event will showcase a variety of films, including Sridevi's iconic works such as "Laadla," "Nagina," "English Vinglish," and "Mom," alongside Indian and foreign films, short fiction films, new Bundeli films, European films, mobile short films, best reels, tribute Sridevi films, and films by women filmmakers.


Attendees can have dinner with celebrities


Attendees can participate in exclusive dinner events with celebrities by obtaining suitable passes. The festival also offers scholarships to outstanding participants in the film workshop. The International Film Festival will feature screenings from France and New Zealand, with notable personalities like film actor and director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, Ramesh Sippy, producer Manmohan Sethi, and French actress Marianne Borgo actively participating.


Local folk artists will showcase their talents


The Khajuraho Film Festival serves as a platform for both renowned filmmakers from across the country and local talents. The current edition aims to enhance the spectacle with new styles and events, with a focus on promoting Bundeli art and culture.
