Bhopal: First bulldozer action by Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav; 3 houses of accused who attacked BJP leader with sword bulldozed


The first major action took place in Bhopal on the second day of the swearing-in of the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav.. On Thursday, three houses of the five accused who cut the palm of a BJP leader with a sword were demolished by using bulldozers in Bhopal. 

 

Earlier in the afternoon, BJP State President VD Sharma had also given a hint of action by giving a statement to end the hooliganism of Congress MLA Arif Masood.

 


Accused had cut the palm of BJP leader on 5 Dec


On December 5, the accused had cut the palm of slum cell Arera division general secretary Devendra Singh Thakur with a sword. Action was taken against the accused on the 9th day of the attack. Politics had heated up since the incident. 

 

Thakur was associated with Bhopal Central Assembly constituency. Dhruv Narayan Singh, who had lost the assembly elections from here, had held Congress MLA Arif Masood responsible for the incident. 

 

After this, many leaders including BJP state president VD Sharma, central organization general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya had reached the hospital to meet Thakur. Since then there were speculations that strict action would be taken against the accused.

 


BMC staff took action 


Accused Farooq Raine alias Minnie, Aslam, Sameer alias Billu, Shahrukh and Bilal, living in Janata Colony, had attacked Devendra Singh near Sai Board. To demolish their houses, on Thursday, the Municipal Corporation team led by Kolar SDM Ashutosh Goswami reached the houses of the accused and used bulldozers. 

 

Encroachment officer Prateek Garg and Habibganj police station in-charge Manish Raj Singh Bhadauria said that illegal parts of the houses and encroachments were demolished because there were no other permissions including building permission. More than 25 employees of the corporation took action to demolish the house. It took one and a half hours to remove the encroachment.

 

 

NSA was imposed on one accused


The accused who attacked Devendra Singh Thakur have been arrested. On December 8, Bhopal Collector Ashish Singh had imposed National Security Act (NSA) on one of these accused, Farooq Raine alias Binny. It is noteworthy that 14 cases of assault have been registered against accused Farooq. He is included in the goonda list of Habibganj police station. All the five accused who attacked are of criminal nature.
