Rajasthan Elections 2023: What is Congress's Plan-B? Gehlot Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas tells

Rajasthan Elections 2023: With the announcement of exit poll results, the both BJP and Congress are preparing plans to achieve the majority figure with the help of smaller parties. Major survey agencies have released their results, intensifying the tension as the electoral battle unfolds. With BJP and Congress potentially requiring support from independents and small parties, both parties are now actively trying to woo them. The results are slated for disclosure on December 3.

Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, part of the Gehlot government, shed light on Congress's contingency plan, dubbed "Plan B," in case the state government fails to secure a majority. He discussed the party's preparations and took a swipe at the BJP.

Hotels and resorts will be booked

Responding to a query about whether hotels were being reserved for winning MLAs, Khachariyawas stated that if the tally falls between 90 and 100, both BJP and Congress would resort to booking hotels and resorts.

He emphasized the party's efforts to consolidate support from independents and others, maintaining transparency in his communication. While acknowledging the need for vigilance, he expressed confidence in Congress crossing the 100-mark.

Khachariyawas emphasized the importance of staying on alert, noting that if Congress falls short of 100, they would require the backing of independents and small parties. He acknowledged that BJP would also be making similar attempts, asserting that such efforts were not criminal but rather the responsibility of every political party.

The current scenario, with neck-to-neck competition and exit polls indicating a close race, has prompted both Congress and BJP to remain on high alert.
