Bihar News: Nitish Kumar likely to submit resignation on Sunday

Political unrest is escalating once again in Bihar, as Nitish Kumar contemplates the formation of a new government in collaboration with the BJP, thereby severing ties with the Grand Alliance. Scheduled for 10 am on Sunday, the Chief Minister will convene a crucial meeting with MLAs, MPs, and party leaders at his official residence.

Sources indicate that Nitish Kumar plans to step down from the position of Chief Minister tomorrow morning. Sushil Kumar Modi is anticipated to be appointed as Deputy CM, and he will present the Governor with a letter affirming majority support. Subsequently, the swearing-in ceremony for the new government is likely to take place at Raj Bhavan at 4 pm on Sunday.

The BJP's letter of support is expected to reach the Chief Minister's residence by Saturday night. The party will facilitate the signing of support letters by its MLAs during the legislative party meeting today. Nitish Kumar has called for a meeting of his close and trusted leaders at the Chief Minister's residence, where prominent JDU leaders like Ashok Chaudhary, Vijay Chaudhary, and Sanjay Jha are expected to attend.

We are going to form govt with BJP: JDU MLA

Meanwhile, Gopalpur's JDU MLA and whip Narendra Kumar Neeraj alias Gopal Mandal on Saturday said we are going to form the government with the Bharatiya Janata Party. Congress colleagues will also come with us. Mandal said Nitish Kumar was neglected in INDIA alliance.

The foundation of India alliance was laid by him. There was talk of even making him the Prime Minister candidate but the Congress leadership was hesitant in even making him the convener. Kharge was given preference. What would Nitish Kumar do in such a situation?

There will be two deputy CMs from BJP's quota in new govt

According to information received from BJP sources, signatures and letters of support will be collected from all the party MLAs on Saturday evening. After that, two-three senior leaders of the party can meet Nitish Kumar on Saturday night with this letter. It is also being told that this time also two Deputy CMs in the NDA government will be from BJP quota. It is being said that Renu Devi's name has been finalized for one post. She comes from a very backward community.
