Bihar News: Nitish Kumar said this after tendering his resignation


On Sunday morning, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tendered his resignation to Governor Rajendra V Arlekar, as confirmed by officials.


The governor accepted Kumar's resignation and requested him to serve as the caretaker Chief Minister until the formation of a new government, as per reports.


Accompanied by senior minister Bijendra Yadav of the Janata Dal-United, Kumar visited the Raj Bhavan to submit his resignation after presiding over a meeting with party MLAs at his official residence.


Sources indicate that a new government, likely with the support of the Bharatiya Janata Party, is expected to be established by the evening.


Nitish Kumar said this


The outgoing Chief Minister of Bihar and President of the Janata Dal-United, Nitish Kumar, announced, "I have officially tendered my resignation as Chief Minister today and have conveyed to the Governor to dissolve the state government. This decision arose due to certain concerns as not everything was functioning smoothly. I sought input from various quarters, considered all perspectives, and today, the government stands dissolved."


Kumar said things were not working out well, therefore he had to resign.


"I will leave the earlier alliance and form a new alliance," the longest serving chief minister of Bihar said. 


BJP MP Giriraj Singh said that I thank Nitish Kumar ji. In one and a half years, Bihar had been facing situation like Jungle Raj Part 2. If Lalu ji had get crowned, it would have been a big problem. To prevent return of Jungle Raj, we made Nitish ji the Chief Minister. BJP will not allow Lalu to be crowned nor will it allow Jungle Raj in Bihar.


According to the information, 3 MLAs each from JDU and BJP can take oath as ministers. BJP national president JP Nadda can also attend the oath ceremony. Nadda is reaching Patna at 3 o'clock.
