PM Modi Emphasizes India's Priorities in Futuristic Technologies and Green Energy at Vibrant Gujarat Summit


Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India's commitment to the development of cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and renewable energy, as key national priorities for the coming years. Speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit, PM Modi emphasized that alongside these advancements, the government continues to prioritize manufacturing and infrastructure development.


Addressing an audience comprising guests from over 30 partner countries and industry leaders, PM Modi outlined India's ambitious goals for the next 25 years. He envisioned India achieving the status of a developed nation by its 100th anniversary of independence in 2047.


Prominent figures such as Adani Group chairperson Gautam Adani, Reliance Industries chairperson Mukesh Ambani, and Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran had earlier addressed the gathering. The Prime Minister urged investors to seize the opportunities presented by India, with a special emphasis on Gujarat as a gateway to the future.


Highlighting the significance of the summit, PM Modi noted that being the first summit in India's Amrit Kaal amplifies its importance. The Prime Minister was addressing the 10th edition of the global investors summit, a concept he initiated during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat..


Referring to the 20th anniversary of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, the Prime Minister remarked that the Summit has showcased new ideas, and created new gateways for investments and returns. Throwing light on this year’s theme of ‘Gateway to the future’, the Prime Minister said that the future of the 21st century will be brightened by shared efforts. 



Global institutions are upbeat about India's economic growth: PM


The PM said that a road map for the future has been presented during India’s G20 Presidency and it is being forwarded by the vision of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. 


PM Modi said it is time for new dreams, new resolutions and continuous accomplishments. He said principles of ‘One World, One Family, One Future has now become a prerequisite to global welfare, India is moving forward in the role of a ‘Vishwa Mitra’ in a fast-changing world, PM said adding global institutions are upbeat about India's economic growth. Structural reforms in the last 10 years have enhanced the economy’s capacity, capability, and competitiveness. Modi added.


During his two-day visit to Gujarat, PM Modi inaugurated the global trade show as part of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit and engaged in meetings with global leaders, including Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, President of Timor Leste José Ramos-Horta, and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.


The Vibrant Gujarat Summit, themed "Gateway of Future," is taking place at the Mahatma Mandir complex in Gandhinagar, Gujarat's capital, with a focus on emerging technologies like semiconductors.

The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit has evolved as one of the most reputed global forums for business collaborations, knowledge sharing and strategic partnerships for inclusive growth and sustainable development. The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit being held from 10 to 12 January 2024 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat celebrates “20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success” with the theme ‘Gateway to the Future’. 


There are 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations for this year’s Summit. Further, the Ministry of Development of North-Eastern Region will utilize the Vibrant Gujarat platform to showcase investment opportunities in the North-Eastern regions.


The Summit will host various events including seminars and conferences on globally relevant topics such as Industry 4.0, Technology and Innovation, Sustainable Manufacturing, Green Hydrogen, Electric Mobility and Renewable Energy and Transition towards Sustainability.
