Surge in COVID-19 Cases in Chhattisgarh: 24 New Patients Identified Within 24 Hours


As the cold weather intensifies, Chhattisgarh is witnessing a rapid increase in COVID-19 cases, causing concern for the health department. In the past 24 hours, 24 new cases have been reported across seven districts of the state. There has been an alarming rise in infections and capital city Raipur faces worsening situation


 Raipur's Deteriorating Scenario


Despite being equipped with all necessary health facilities and administrative support, the capital city, Raipur, is grappling with a worsening situation. Over the last 24 hours, 11 new COVID-19 cases have emerged, bringing the total in the capital to 51—up from the previous count of 40.


Raigarh Takes Second Place


In the same timeframe, Raigarh, an industrial city, has secured the second position in the state's COVID-19 tally. Five new cases have been reported here, while three cases surfaced in Kanker, two in Durg, and one each in Bemetara, Janjgir, and Sukma, contributing to a total of 131 active cases across the state. Encouragingly, 31 patients have successfully completed home isolation. It is noteworthy that 4182 samples were tested statewide in the last 24 hours.
