Himachal Pradesh Political Crisis: What Jairam Ramesh, Priyanka Gandhi said regarding action against MLAs doing cross voting?

Amidst the political upheaval in Himachal, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has said that some 'difficult' decisions may have to be taken.

He said, “After listening to everyone in Himachal, a detailed report will be prepared and sent to the National President of Congress.”

Jairam Ramesh said in a press conference, “The Congress President will definitely take whatever decision has to be taken on the basis of this report. It is possible that some tough decisions will have to be taken. But we will not back down from this. The organization is paramount, the Congress Party is paramount."

“Himachal's mandate is the people's mandate to the Congress. We will not allow it to be betrayed.”

In the elections for the only Rajya Sabha seat from Himachal Pradesh, there is a stir regarding cross-voting by Congress MLAs and BJP has said that now Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu's government is in minority.

However, today CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that he will prove his majority in the budget session of the Assembly.

He claimed that he is also in touch with the MLAs who have moved towards BJP.

Immoral and unconstitutional: Priyanka

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has targeted BJP regarding the political crisis arising in Himachal Pradesh.

In her tweet, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has described BJP's attitude as 'immoral' and 'unconstitutional'. She said that BJP wants to push Himachal Pradesh into political disaster.

Priyanka Gandhi wrote on social media platform that BJP wants to crush the people's right to be ruled by government of their choice by misusing the power and authority of the Centre.

"The way the BJP is using government machinery for this purpose is unprecedented in the history of the country. If a party with 25 MLAs is challenging the majority of 43 MLAs, it clearly means that it is indulging in horse trading."

Priyanka wrote, "This attitude of BJP is immoral and unconstitutional. The people of Himachal and the country are watching everything. The BJP, which did not stand with the people of the state during the natural disaster, now wants to push the state into political disaster."

Six Congress MLAs cross-voted on Tuesday in the elections held on a Rajya Sabha seat. After this, on Wednesday morning Vikramaditya Singh resigned from the post of state government minister.

CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has said that he will prove his majority in the current budget session of the Assembly.
