Madhya Pradesh: YC activists stopped on way to gherao assembly; Jitu Patwari among those arrested; cops use water cannon to disperse protesters

Bhopal: In the capital Bhopal, Youth Congress planned to ghearo the Madhya Pradesh Assembly on the issue of youth unemployment. The police did not allow them to reach the assembly and stopped them by barricading near the Congress office. During this period, State Congress President Jitu Patwari and other leaders were also arrested.

Youth Congress workers started their demonstration from the office of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee. They were going to surround the assembly. On the way, the police stopped them at the Red Cross Hospital and also used water cannons to disperse the crowd.

State Congress President Jitu Patwari, Youth Congress National President Srinivas BV, Jhabua MLA and Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress President Vikrant Bhuria, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Umang Singhar and other prominent leaders were present in this demonstration.

Two lakh jobs were promised

Jitu Patwari said that the new government had promised that two lakh youths would be given employment in the very first year of the government's tenure. So that every family can be provided means of employment. But these people are legalizing online gambling. Parents in Madhya Pradesh voted for BJP for jobs, not for allowing their children to gamble. Because of this, the youth have taken to the streets and demonstrated against the gambling BJP government.

National President of Youth Congress Srinivas BV alleged that the BJP government is a gambling government. This is a gambling government which has given a new job to the youth of the state in the form of gambling. The state government led by Mohan Yadav is a remote control government, operating from Delhi. Today we are going to surround the state assembly.
