Rajya Sabha elections-2024: Akhilesh Yadav said this on possibility of cross voting by SP MLAs

Voting for Rajya Sabha elections-2024 is being held today for 15 seats in three states Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh has 10 seats in the Rajya Sabha and most of the discussion is about the elections here.

Even before the Rajya Sabha voting, Samajwadi Party Chief Whip Manoj Pandey has resigned. There is also discussion that eight SP MLAs can do cross voting.

Amidst the talk of switching sides of his MLAs, SP President Akhilesh Yadav wrote on Twitter, "Our third Rajya Sabha seat was actually a test to identify true comrades and to know who is with the PDA (Pichhada, Dalit & Adivasi i.e. backward, Dalit & minoritiies) from the heart and who is against them. Now everything is clear, this is the victory of the third seat."

On Monday, eight MLAs were missing from the dinner party of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Samajwadi Party's Manoj Pandey, MLA Mukesh Verma, Maharaji Prajapati, Pooja Pal, Rakesh Pandey, Vinod Chaturvedi, Rakesh Pratap Singh and Abhay Singh were missing from Akhilesh Yadav's dinner party.
