UP constable recruitment exam cancelled, will be conducted again in six months: CM Yogi


The Uttar Pradesh government has canceled the constable recruitment examination held this month.


Announcing this, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this examination will be conducted again within six months.


He also said, "Strictest action will be taken against those who play with the hard work of the youth and the sanctity of the examination."


There were allegations of paper leak of this examination conducted for more than sixty thousand posts.


After this, youth demonstrated in UP capital Lucknow and Prayagraj.


This examination was conducted in 75 districts of UP on 17th and 18th February this month. More than 48 lakh youth had participated in the examination.


There was anger among the candidates after the news of the exam paper being leaked. The demand for re-conducting the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination was increasing. Candidates were protesting in many districts of the state demanding cancellation of the examination. 


Candidates say that the paper was leaked on WhatsApp even before they got it in the examination hall. Although the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board had refuted the claims of paper leak being made on social media, but later it formed an internal committee to investigate the matter. The candidates were waiting for the decision of this committee and the announcement of the administration.


Search for the accused intensified


Police have arrested 25 accused including solver in UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination. Many of these solvers had come to take the exam in place of others. A case has been registered against the solver and action has been taken, but the candidates who took the help of the solver are absconding. The police have intensified the search for these accused.
