There were speculations about political upheaval since morning, which proved true by afternoon and the Chief Minister of the state, Manohar Lal Khattar has resigned from the post. Khattar has submitted his resignation to the Governor which was also accepted by the Governor.
Haryana's new govt will be formed without JJP
Actually, BJP had formed the government in Haryana with JJP. Now the discussion is that due to differences between the two parties regarding seat sharing in the Lok Sabha elections, the alliance of BJP and JJP broke.
Nayab Singh Saini To Be New CM Of Haryana
Kurukshetra MP and OBC leader Nayab Singh Saini is set to become the new Chief Minister of Haryana after ML Khattar and his entire cabinet tendered their resignation. Saini was appointed as the state president of Haryana BJP in October last year.
Kanwar Pal claims Khattar will remain CM
Preparations are being made for the swearing in of the new government. Before this, a big statement of BJP leader Kanwar Pal Gurjar has come out. He said that Manohar Lal will remain the Chief Minister of Haryana. Senior BJP MLA Krishna Midha also said that Manohar Lal Khattar will take oath as CM for the third time.
Assembly seat equation in Haryana
BJP currently has 47 seats. Whereas Lok Dal has captured 20 seats and Congress 15 seats. Others have 8 seats. Out of the 90 assembly seats in the state, any party will need 46 seats to have a majority.
Uproar over seat sharing in Lok Sabha
There was a meeting between BJP President Prakash Nadda and Jannayak Janata Party JJP leader Dushyant Chautala on Monday 11 March. But during the meeting, there was no agreement between the two parties regarding seat sharing. JJP had expressed its intention to contest elections on two Lok Sabha seats in the state, whereas BJP did not give any positive response regarding this. Due to which the alliance of BJP and JJP broke in Haryana. In such a situation, a new government is going to be formed in Haryana.
