After the decision of Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court regarding Bhojshala located in Dhar, the team of Archaeological Survey of India will survey the Bhojshala on Friday. The Indore bench of the High Court had ordered only last week that the ASI should survey the Bhojshala.
According to Hindu organizations, Kamal Maulana Masjid located in Dhar is actually Maa Saraswati Temple Bhojshala, which was built by Raja Bhoj in 1034 for the study of Sanskrit. But later it was demolished by the Mughal invaders.
Hindu Front for Justice had filed an application in the High Court for a scientific survey of this complex. Acceptingh the plea, the Indore Bench of the High Court ordered the ASI to conduct a scientific survey.
ASI has now asked the Dhar administration and SP to provide adequate security forces before the survey so that the survey work does not stop.
After Ayodhya, legal battles are being fought by Hindu organizations in different courts to convert Vishwanath Temple of Kashi, Shri Krishna Janbhoomi Temple in Mathura and Bhojshala of Dhar back into temples. Hindu organizations have been demanding for a long time that Namaz should be stopped in the Bhojshala premises and the premises should be used as a temple by installing the statue of Goddess Saraswati.
Dhar's Bhojshala controversy is not new. Every time Basant Panchami arrives, this controversy becomes the headlines in the media. Many times the communal atmosphere has deteriorated here and a situation of tension has also arisen between the people of two communities.
