Maharashtra Politics: Lunch Invitation Sparks Speculation as Sharad Pawar Hosts Nephew Ajit, CM Shinde, and Deputy CM Fadnavis

Mumbai. The founder of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Sharad Pawar, has extended an invitation to his nephew, Ajit Pawar, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for a lunch meeting. The invitation is set for March 2 at Pawar's residence in Baramati.

This gathering holds significance as Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will be visiting Baramati for the first time since assuming office. His visit is centered around participation in the Maha Rozgar Mela, where both Deputy Chief Ministers, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, are also expected to be in attendance. Seizing the opportunity, Sharad Pawar aims to host a meal for the trio after the event.

Expressing his joy in a letter, Sharad Pawar stated, "I am delighted that the Chief Minister is visiting Baramati for the first time after assuming office to participate in the Namo Maharozgar program. Following the event, I would like to extend an invitation to him and his cabinet colleagues for a meal at my residence, 'Govindbagh.'"

It's noteworthy that this gathering will mark the first face-to-face meeting between uncle and nephew since the Election Commission's decision to allocate the election symbol 'Ghadi' (watch) and party name to Ajit Pawar's faction. The aim behind this lunch invitation has sparked speculation, with many questioning the motives and thoughts running through Sharad Pawar's mind.
