There has been a split in Jharkhand Mukti Morcha in Jharkhand. Sita Soren, elder daughter-in-law of Shibu Soren and sister-in-law (bhabhi) of ex-CM Hemant Soren, has resigned from the post of MLA. She has also resigned from all party posts. Shortly after this she joined BJP.
She also wrote a letter to her father-in-law Shibu Soren in this regard and said that a deep conspiracy was being hatched against her and her family.
Sita Soren, former central general secretary of JMM, is the wife of party president Shibu Soren's late elder son Durga Soren.
In her letter, she has alleged that she was being neglected since the death of her husband Durga Soren in 2009. She has blamed the party and family members for this.
She has said that she hoped that the situation would improve with time, but it did not happen.
Sita Soren has said that her father-in-law Shibu Soren tried his best to keep the family united, but his efforts failed.
After the arrest of Hemant Soren, she was upset at not getting a place in the cabinet of new Chief Minister Champai Soren and the increasing status of her sister-in-law Kalpana Soren in the party. Kalpana is the wife of former CM Hemant Soren.
