Cricketers Hardik and Krunal Pandya's stepbrother Vaibhav arrested in this case

Vaibhav Pandya, the stepbrother of Indian cricketers Hardik and Krunal Pandya, has been apprehended by the Mumbai Police on suspicion of swindling approximately Rs 4.3 crore from them. Allegations suggest that Vaibhav redirected the funds from their joint venture, resulting in financial loss to Hardik and Krunal. The trio established a business in 2021, with an agreed profit-sharing arrangement: 40% for each of the cricketers and 20% for Vaibhav.

Instead of distributing the profits, the Vaibhav Pandya chose to establish a new company and funnel the business funds into it.

As per the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) officials of the Mumbai police, Vaibhav faces charges of cheating and forgery. He was arrested was made after Hardik filed a complained against his 37-year-old stepbrother.

Hardik grabbed attention when he assumed captaincy role for MI

Meanwhile, Hardik grabbed attention when he assumed the captaincy role for the Mumbai Indians, taking over from Rohit Sharma. However, the team's decision to replace Rohit hasn't resonated well with fans, leading to some directing their dissatisfaction towards Hardik.

Hardik's captaincy debut hit a rough patch as MI stumbled through three consecutive losses initially. Yet, to his relief, the franchise bounced back with a victory in their latest match against Delhi Capitals.

During the post-match presentation, Hardik acknowledged that significant effort was required behind the scenes to secure MI's first victory of the campaign.

After the match Hardik said, "It's been an arduous journey. We've meticulously fine-tuned our strategies, ensuring precision and purpose. Today was the culmination of our efforts, where everything fell into place. Amidst it all, there's been a palpable sense of camaraderie and support. Despite the setbacks of three losses, the unwavering belief in each other's abilities prevailed, which is truly remarkable. Today marks not just a victory but the dawn of a new chapter."
