Lok Sabha Election 2024: RJD releases manifesto, Tejashwi Yadav said - Agniveer scheme will be abolished, what are other promises?

Lok Sabha Election 2024: Bihar's main opposition party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav released the party's manifesto 'Parivartan Patra' for the Lok Sabha elections-2024.

Speaking at the release event, Yadav said that the party is committed to fulfilling the 24 promises outlined in the manifesto. He claimed that the manifesto focuses on crucial developmental issues for Bihar. The Parivartan Patra makes 24 promises for 2024.

"Today, we have released our 'Parivartan Patra'. We are bringing 24 promises in 2024, which is our commitment that we will fulfil. It has a lot of important issues regarding the development of Bihar," Tejashwi said. 

In the manifesto, Tejashwi Yadav has promised 200 units of free electricity, gas cylinder for Rs 500 and special state status for Bihar.

Releasing the manifesto, Tejashwi Yadav said, "If our party forms the government, Bihar will be given the status of a special state and the state will get a special package of Rs 1 lakh 60 thousand crore."

Tejashwi Yadav said, "Every family in Bihar will get 200 units of free electricity per month. The rate of gas cylinder will be Rs 500."

Tejashwi Yadav promised to provide one crore government jobs if the government is formed.

Tejashwi Yadav said, "30 lakh government jobs are vacant in the country and after our government is formed, one crore government jobs will be given."

Tejashwi Yadav also said that Agniveer scheme will be abolished if his government is formed.

Tejashwi Yadav's party is part of the RJD India alliance. RJD is contesting on 23 out of 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.

24 Promises For 2024

1 Crore job promise for youth. "Freedom from unemployment will start from August 15," the RJD manifesto said.

Rs 1 lakh promised for poor women from upcoming Rakshabandhan.

RJD, if voted to power, will provide gas cylinders for Rs 500.

The old pensions scheme will be implemented, RJD Promised in its manifesto. 

Special state status to Bihar.

Special package for Bihar. 

Agniveer scheme will be discontinued.

Promise to make 5 new airports in Bhagalpur, Purnia, Raxaul, Muzaffarpur and Gopalganj.

Implementation of the remaining recommendations of the Mandal Commission.

RJD promised to implement the right to health.

200 units of free electricity will be given if RJD comes to power. 

MSP will be given on 10 crops.

Paramilitary forces will be given martyr status if they die while on duty.
