Lok Sabha Election-2024: Wayanad is my home, what more Rahul Gandhi said after filing nomination?

Lok Sabha Election-2024: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has filed his nomination from Wayanad seat in Kerala. He had won from this seat in 2019 but lost the election from his old seat Amethi in UP.

Rahul Gandhi spoke to the media after filing nomination from Wayanad.

He said: “Wayanad is my home, and the people of Wayanad are my family. From them, I have learned a great deal over the last five years and received an abundance of love and affection. It is with great pride and humility that I file my nomination for Lok Sabha 2024 once again from this beautiful land.”

He said further, “This election is a fight for the soul of India; it is a fight to preserve our democracy from the forces of hatred, corruption, and injustice that seek to suppress the voice of Bharat Mata.”

The Congress leader said, “I, along with every member of INDIA, will not rest until this battle is won. We will bring together every citizen from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and from Manipur to Mumbai to strengthen our Union of States.”

Rahul Gandhi said, "This fight is to save democracy and the Constitution. On one hand, Congress and India Alliance are fighting for the Constitution. On the other hand, people of PM Modi, Amit Shah, BJP and RSS are trying to destroy democracy and the Constitution.

While filing nomination, Rahul's sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was also present. Journalists asked Priyanka whether Rahul Gandhi would win the Wayanad seat by five lakh votes this time.

In response to this Priyanka said- "Yes it should be, why not?"

Sonia Gandhi has been winning elections from Rae Bareli seat, who will Congress field in her place? Everyone's eyes are on this too. Sonia Gandhi has decided not to contest the Lok Sabha elections due to health reasons.

The question being asked is whether Priyanka Gandhi Vadra can contest from Rae Bareli? Congress has not yet answered this question.
