Sanjay Singh comes out of jail, what he, his wife Anita and BJP said?

Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj has spoken to the media after Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh came out on bail.

Saurabh Bhardwaj said, "Just now Sanjay Singh came out of jail. Thousands of workers welcomed him. Sanjay Singh climbed on top of the car and said one thing to the workers. Sanjay said this is not the time to celebrate, this is the time to struggle."

Sanjay Singh said, "Right now our three big leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain are inside the jail, we will not celebrate until they are released. The locks of the jail will open..."

Sanjay Singh was in jail since October 2023. The ED team had arrested Sanjay Singh in the alleged scam case related to Delhi's liquor policy.

Sanjay Singh was granted bail by the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

Earlier, after Sanjay Singh was granted bail by the Supreme Court on Tuesday, his wife Anita Singh said her happiness was incomplete as her three "brothers" Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain were still behind bars. Terming Singh's bail as a "victory for truth", his wife said AAP will celebrate when all its leaders are released in the case.

When asked whether there is turmoil in the party's politics due to the implication of top AAP leaders in the liquor scam, Anita Singh said, “There is no threat to the politics of Aam Aadmi Party. My brothers will come out of jail. Sanjay ji is already out. We are mow waiting for other leaders to come out.”

After getting bail from the Supreme Court, a celebration was held at Singh's residence and his family members and supporters distributed sweets among the people.

BJP said this

BJP has given its first reaction after Sanjay Singh came out on bail.

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva told media, "If a leader of a corrupt party comes out on bail and they celebrate it, then it shows the thinking of that party."

He said, “Coming out on bail does not mean being free from crime. If bail is granted then the bail also ends. The accused or the criminal has to follow its rules.

Sachdeva says, “I believe the liquor scam is a big scam. The role of all the people involved in that scam is being investigated."
