Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on the Agnipath scheme, accusing him of consistently undermining the army's bravery. Yadav was interacting with reporters in Bhopal on Sunday.
"The Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi have always exhibited concerning attitudes towards the nation. Rahul Gandhi's habit of doubting the army's courage and questioning the Agniveer scheme is troubling. Hopefully, he will rectify this stance when he visits Madhya Pradesh," CM Yadav said.
Yadav's statement came in response to Rahul Gandhi's assertion that the Indian Army opposed the Agnipath scheme, attributing its inception solely to Prime Minister Narendra Modi with all decisions about the scheme taken in the Prime Minister's Office.
In its manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress pledged to discontinue the Agnipath Scheme, opting for a return to traditional recruitment procedures within the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Saffron is a symbol of our sacrifice: Yadav
Meanwhile, while attacking the party over Congress's opposition to the new logo of Doordarshan, CM Yadav said that if Congress has so much objection to saffron color then the party should remove saffron color from its flag.
Dr. Yadav said now Congress is opposing saffron colour. The leftist and opposition parties do not understand that saffron is a symbol of our sacrifice and renunciation; the Sun is the carrier of culture.
He said that now there is so much opposition to saffron color, Congress should show it by removing saffron color from its flag. They work to insult the entire Sanatan culture, Hindu culture.
Dr Yadav said that the Congress must apologize for this.
