Lok Sabha Elections-2024: What Arun Govil Said About Possible Changes in Constitution

Arun Govil, the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Meerut, UP in the Lok Sabha Elections-2024 and renowned actor famous for portraying Lord Ram in the iconic serial Ramayana, has joined the discourse on constitutional amendments.

Govil expressed that adapting the Constitution to evolving circumstances signifies progress, emphasizing that changes have historically reflected the changing times.

Talking to journalists, Arun Govil said that making changes is a sign of progress.

Arun Govil said, “When the Constitution of our country was made, it gradually changed according to the circumstances. Making changes is a sign of progress, there is nothing wrong with that. The circumstances were different then, they are different now."

Arun Govil said, “The Constitution does not change at the will of any one person, it changes only when there is consensus.”

Journalists asked whether the slogan of 'Abki baar 400 paar' was given because the government wanted to do something big?

In response to this, Arun Govil said, “I feel this because Modi ji does not say anything just like that, there is definitely some meaning behind it.”

Many BJP leaders have talked about changes in the Constitution. Earlier, Karnataka MP Anant Hegde and BJP candidate from Ayodhya Lallu Singh have also talked about changes in the Constitution.
