CBSE 10, 12 Board Results Declared: Girls outshine boys in both classes; 87.98% pass in 12th, 93.60% passed in 10th


Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the result of 10th and 12th class. Students can check the results by visiting the official website results.cbse.nicin or cbseresults.nic.in.


93.60% students passed in 10th


A total of 22,38,827 students appeared in the examination for class 10th, out of which 20,95,467 passed. The pass percentage has been 93.60% which is 0.48% more than last year. In class 10th, the result of girls has been 94.75% while the result of boys has been 92.72%.


87.98% students passed in 12th


This time 87.98% students have passed in class 12th. The passing percentage has increased by 0.65% compared to last year. The passing percentage of girls is 6.40% higher than that of boys. This time more than 91% girls have passed.


Trivandrum region's result best in Class 12 


Trivandrum has once again emerged as the best performing region in CBSE Class 12 results with 99.91%. Whereas, Prayagraj's result has been at the lowest position with 78.25. At the same time, in class 10th also the result of Trivandrum region has been best with 99.75% result. Vijayawada region is at second place with 99.60 passing percentage. Chennai region is at third place with 99.30%. The worst result is 77.94% of Guwahati region.


94.97% students passed in Delhi


In Delhi region, 2,95,792 students appeared for CBSE Class 12 board exam and 2,80,925 students passed. In Delhi, 94.97 percent students have passed. The result percentage of students in East Delhi was 94.51% and in West Delhi 95.64% students passed.


This year, a total of 16,33,730 students had registered for the 12th board exam and a total of 16,21,224 students had appeared in the exam. 14,26,420 students have passed the exam.


1,16,145 students got more than 90% marks


In the CBSE Class 12 final exam, 24,068 students got 95% or more marks, which is 1.48% of the total students who passed. Whereas, 1,16,145 students secured 90% or more marks. This is 7.16% of the total students who passed.


Result of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is 98.81%


This year CBSE 12th board result was 99.23% for Central Tibetan School Administration (CTSA), 98.81% for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, 91.42% for Government Aided, 88.23% for Government and 87.70% for Independent schools.


Merit list will not be released this time also


Last year, after the release of the board exam results, no merit list was released. A senior officer associated with the board had said that to ensure that there is no unhealthy competition among the students, the board had decided not to release the merit list.


This year also the merit list will not be released after the board exam. The name of any topper will not be announced. To pass the board exam, it is necessary to score overall 33% marks in all subjects including final exam and internal assessment.
