UP Election 2024: Amit Shah refers to Ramzan and Janmashtami during poll rallies

Home Minister Amit Shah said in a rally in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday that during the tenure of Samajwadi Party, there was continuous electricity during Ramzan but not on Janmashtami.

In the rally, he said that in this Lok Sabha election, people have two options. They have to choose between those who built the Ram temple and the other who fired bullets on Ram bhakts.

Amit Shah held rallies in Maharajganj, Deoria, Ballia and Robertsganj in Purvanchal. Voting for these seats is on June 1 in the last phase.

In his rally in Ballia, Amit Shah accused Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party of harassing the public through mafias. He said that Yogi Adityanath's government has freed the state from criminals.

He claimed that during the SP government, electricity was not cut during Ramzan and there was no electricity on Janmashtami.

Shah said, "During Ramzan, there was no electricity cut, but there was no electricity on Janmashtami."

At Deoria, Amit Shah claimed that the opposition tried to stop the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

He said, "This election is between those who built Ram Mandir and those who fire bullets on Ram devotees."
