MP Monsoon Update: Monsoon Expected Around This Date, Moisture Continues to Accompany Winds

Bhopal: The southwest monsoon is advancing slowly. In the next two to three days, the monsoon is expected to progress in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. In Madhya Pradesh, the monsoon is anticipated to arrive around June 18. Currently, due to the influence of four distinct weather systems, moisture is being carried by the winds, resulting in rainfall across various districts in the state.

Rain Expected in These Divisions

On Thursday, between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, Guna received three millimeters of rain, with showers reported in Bhopal as well. Singrauli recorded the state's highest temperature at 44.8 degrees Celsius.

Meteorologists predict rainfall in certain areas in Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, Sagar, Shahdol, Indore, and Ujjain divisions.

Heat Continues in Gwalior and Rewa Divisions

The heat is expected to persist in the districts of Gwalior, Chambal, and Rewa divisions.

Meteorologists' Prediction

Ajay Shukla, a former senior meteorologist at the Meteorological Center, noted that the winds are currently blowing from the south and southwest, with speeds ranging from 30 to 35 kilometers per hour. The atmosphere's moisture content is causing partial cloud cover.

This situation reduces the likelihood of temperature increases but raises humidity levels. Given the current conditions, there is a chance of rain in some districts within the Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, Sagar, Shahdol, Indore, and Ujjain divisions. Meanwhile, temperatures are expected to rise in the districts of Gwalior, Chambal, and Rewa divisions.
