Rajasthan: What Did Hanuman Beniwal Say About Leaving India Alliance, Why is He Angry? Will He Join NDA?

The results of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections have been announced, and the BJP has faced significant losses, not only in Uttar Pradesh but also in Rajasthan. In Rajasthan, the India alliance, comprising Congress, RLP, and Left parties, successfully diminished BJP's dominance.

In the desert state BJP lost 11 out of 25 seats. Hanuman Beniwal, the RLP leader and a crucial opposition figure, played a key role in this outcome. However, Beniwal's dissatisfaction with the India alliance has recently come to light.

Hanuman Beniwal, elected to the Lok Sabha from the Nagaur seat in Rajasthan, has expressed his displeasure at not being invited to the India alliance meetings of opposition parties. He remarked that he was not called to any alliance meetings before or after the election results.

Beniwal told media, "I was neither called before nor after the election results. When a small party from the south can be called, why not me?"

Beniwal mentioned that he raised this issue with Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, who acknowledged that the party had made a mistake. Despite his grievances, Beniwal affirmed that he would not join the NDA and would remain within the India alliance.

No intention of joining the NDA

In the elections, Beniwal defeated BJP candidate and former Congress MP Jyoti Mirdha from the Nagaur seat by a margin of 42,225 votes. He emphasized his role in strengthening the Congress against the BJP, contributing to their success in securing 11 seats.

Beniwal reiterated that he has no intention of joining the NDA and will continue to oppose the BJP independently. Additionally, he has once again voiced strong criticism against the Modi government's Agniveer scheme.
