On the second Monday of Shravan, July 29th, Baba Mahakal's procession in Ujjain will be graced by 350 newly trained jawans from the Police Brass Band. Their melodious tunes will amplify the enthusiasm, excitement, and overall attraction of the event. These police jawans have undergone six months of intensive training across all police units in Madhya Pradesh.
Additionally, the Police Band will offer a special performance at Dutt Akhara Ghat during the worship on the banks of the Kshipra River. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, recognizing the significance of the Police Band, instructed the establishment of a Police Band in every district and encouraged interested policemen to join by providing them with proper training. Following his directive, jawans received comprehensive instruction in musical instruments and band performance within the state's police units.
The Police Band: A Vital Part of MP Police's Glorious History
The Madhya Pradesh Police Band has been a significant part of the illustrious history of the Madhya Pradesh Police. Today, brass bands are established in the Special Armed Force (SAF) units of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, and Ujjain, with a pipe band in the Rewa unit. Under the guidance of CM Dr. Yadav, police bands have now been instituted in every district of the state following six months of intensive training. Furthermore, Dr. Yadav has announced the formal recruitment of personnel for these newly established district police bands, enhancing their presence and importance across Madhya Pradesh.
Police Band Prepared for Independence Day Celebrations
To establish police bands in every district, 321 jawans from the 1st Battalion SAF Indore, 6th Battalion SAF Jabalpur, and 7th Battalion SAF Bhopal were meticulously trained, while 19 additional employees were sent to STC Bangalore for specialized training. In total, 340 employees received comprehensive training. Following this, police bands were set up across all districts of Madhya Pradesh in preparation for the upcoming national festival on August 15, 2024.
Police Band Delivers Spectacular Performance in 'Swar-Megh' Program
Under the patronage of CM Dr. Yadav, a captivating 'Swar-Megh' program was held by police band officers and employees at Motilal Nehru Police Stadium in Bhopal on July 18, 2024. The event featured an impressive brass band concert and a police band display. The Police Brass Band members mesmerized the audience with a diverse repertoire that included fanfares, quick marches, slow marches, standing displays, drum beats, various film songs, and melodious patriotic tunes, making the evening an unforgettable experience.
