Indian shooter Manu Bhaker has reached the final of the 10m air pistol event at the Paris Olympics-2024. She will aim for a medal in the final of this event on Sunday, July 28 from 3:30 pm.
Manu scored 580 out of 600 points in the qualification event and finished third among 45 shooters. In this event, the second Indian shooter Ridhm Sangwan could not reach the final. Sangwan finished 15th with 573 points. The top-8 shooters have qualified for the final. Manu can win a medal.
Earlier, China won the first gold of Paris Olympics-2024. The Chinese team became the champion in the 10m rifle mixed event of shooting. The Republic of Korea finished second and Kazakhstan third. The Kazakh team won the first medal of these games.
In the same event, Indian pairs finished sixth and 12th. India's Team-2 Ramita (314.5) and Arjun (314.2) finished sixth with a total of 628.7 points, while Team-1 pair of Elavenil (312.6) and Sandeep (313.7) finished 12th with a total of 626.3 points.
In the 10m air pistol men's event, Indian shooters Sarabjot Singh and Arjun Singh Cheema could not qualify for the final. Sarabjot finished 9th and Arjun finished 18th.
